Meditations-Pr.8:1-5 “Understanding Heart”

Doth not wisdom cry? and understanding put forth her voice?

Truth is sound and has meaning that is implied here. Voice of the Lord has its majesty. In the creation account we see how the Spirit of the Lord moved upon the waters. “The voice of the Lord is upon the waters: the God of glory thundereth: the Lord is upon many waters(Ps.29:3)”. When Jesus said ‘I am the truth’ it was what the Word who became flesh could say. “All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.” Truth gives a shape.

The earth was without form and void. How it acquires a shape is what understanding signifies. Every atom has heard it so there is no excuse. Thus two atoms of oxygen when come across one hydrogen atom it is water. The presence of the hydrogen isotope which is heavier shall give it altogether different physical and chemical properties when compared to normal water. By the same token life of natural man shall acquire different dimension when he makes truth as his guiding principle. That is wisdom of the Word naturally giving underpinning to matter. So God a Spirit wills and man who has a material body transcend its natural limits. What Apostle John spoke of Jesus applies equally in matter of life on the earth. “In him was life; and the life was the light of men(John 1:4).

God gave voice, power of which draws in Wisdom principle along. “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it(Is.55:11)”. Glory of God gives the heart its understanding. “For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ(2 Co.4:6)”. A fool is in darkness for he has not appetite for being helped out of his darkness. “And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not(John 1:5). The fool is fearfulso shall remain ever in his fix.

“And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil./ For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved(John 3:19-20)”.

She standeth in the top of high places, by the way in the places of the paths.

She crieth at the gates, at the entry of the city, at the coming in at the doors.

Unto you, O men, I call; and my voice is to the sons of man.

O ye simple, understand wisdom: and, ye fools, be ye of an understanding heart.
