Listen O Israel: the Lord our God, the Lord is One(De.6:4).The Bible attributes two characteristics to the Godhead: Power and Wisdom. Both together encapsulate the glory of God. When God separated Light from darkness Wisdom of God caused the earth that was void receive blessings from above as rain fills the pools(Ps.84:6); it is Power that enables the field bring up fruits of which the Parable of the sower(Mt.13:3-8) gives us insight into the glory of God translated in such manner the earth can make do. Wisdom of the earth is inert unless the power also pitches in. The volcanic ash is inert but with rain it becomes active. It is the glory of God that when placed in context of the earth (as the Creation Day informs us) gives the earth abound so at the end of it God saw everything that He had made, and behold it was very good (Ge.1:31).
The man whom God created would give the earth a shape since He had breathed into his nostrils and made him a living soul. When He set him in the garden ‘to dress it and to keep it (2:15)his Glory in Adam was adequate for him to profit from his labor. The earth was enriched and had the wherewithal for man to live on the fruits of the field. As with the soil is the heart of man. Ability to understand and work with the knowledge that is self evident explain two worlds heart and mind, as two witnesses.”He fashioneth their hearts alike; he considereth all their works(Ps.33:15)”.
With man’s disobedience the order of God’s glory was upset and it made the earth no longer the same. “Doth the plowman plow all day to sow? doth he open and break the clods of his ground (Is.28:24)?” “The farmer knows just what to do, for God has given him understanding(Is.28:26-NLT). Power and wisdom of the fallen man is more in pursuit of knowledge of good and evil. But when it is disconnected from Power and Wisdom of God, his glory still has some semblance of light but ‘in seeking to hide their counsel from the Lord and their works are in the dark (Is.29:15)’ applies in his case. Look what man has made in the name of progress? The earth now is planet plastic for all his godlessness.
Let us consider the Parable of Jesus. “He fashioneth their hearts alike does not mean responses of the heart is alike. Some hearts are like stony places where they have not much earth; forthwith the seeds sowed there do spring up only to be scorched for want of depth (for roots to take in). This is what world as a field can produce by human wisdom and power. Wisdom which is from above is free and fruit of righteousness is produced as a result.”For thus saith the LORD to the men of Judah and Jerusalem, Break up your fallow ground, and sow not among thorns(Je.4:3). John the Baptist began his ministry saying,”Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight (Mt.3:3)His ministry was that of repentance.
“A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh(Ez.36:26). The Word is sown in the heart of man and it is eternally settled in heavens as a testimony to the Wisdom and Power of God(Ps.119:9). Being born again is where stoniness of the heart is cleared off.
Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit(Jn.3:5)”.The spirit of Christ that worked before the worlds began gave the world spiritual discernment what makes glory of the earth draw the hearts unto God. The young lions know whom to look for their meat. It is knowledge set naturally. The Spirit of God brooding over the face of the waters is a symbol of this spirit (Ge.1:2). Because of it when Abel brought ‘of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof’ God had respect unto his offering(Ge.4:3-5).
This understanding comes from the Lord and how you respond to it is Power and Wisdom from above. Mind of man will acknowledge God is Love. Whereas heart of man shall compel him to ask thus: what does it mean to me?” These two worlds are two separate worlds in terms of your works. Mind of Christ is revealed in the verse “But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: (Phil.2:6-7)” His death on the cross revealed the heart of Power and Wisdom: so one man’s obedience worked salvation for everyone who would believe in him. Power and Wisdom are two witnesses for which Christ Jesus set an example. He is the way life and truth.”I am the way, the truth and the life (Jn.14:6)
