The Revelation- Re.19:1-4 “Amen, Alleluia”

And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honor, and power, unto the Lord our God:

For true and righteous are his judgments: for he hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand.

And again they said, Alleluia And her smoke rose up for ever and ever.

And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshipped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Alleluia.

The four and twenty elders are memorials before the throne of God. They are unchanged as the everlasting covenant is same as the day God declared the decree, When David says, “Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.”(Ps.2:6) the elders were the witnesses to it. They were kings even as King David was on the earth. “And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.”. The Lord God is the eternal God and the four and elders seated in their white raiment and crowns tell how deceived the world was to exclude the real power centre from their calculations. When the elders say Amen, Alleluia it brings finally the curtain down.

For true and righteous are his judgments: for he hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand.”(19:2)

In the verse quoted above the psalmist speaks,’Yet have I” and it refers to what went before. “ He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision./ Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.” The day of wrath against the heathen is a comprehensive catalogue of wickedness, misrule that only could have been hatched by Satan. When Israel approached Samuel for a king, it displeased Samuel greatly and God tells him, “Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them. / According to all the works which they have done since the day that I brought them up out of Egypt even unto this day, wherewith they have forsaken me, and served other gods, so do they also unto thee.”

Now therefore hearken unto their voice: howbeit yet protest solemnly unto them, and shew them the manner of the king that shall reign over them./And Samuel told all the words of the Lord unto the people that asked of him a king.(1 Sa.8:7-10). God is long suffering and He allowed the nations to get their acts right. But they would not.
