“ And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father’s name written in their foreheads./And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps:”(vv.1-2)
This vision of the Lamb is yet another. In Ch.5 the Lamb was set in order to indicate the preeminence of the Son the Alpha and Omega aspect of salvation and judgment. “And, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.”(5;6). Here we have the Lamb in conjunction with the mount Sion. The Holy Spirit wants us to behold him among the first fruits unto God and to him. We need to settle first in our hearts where we ought to be since the door is about to shut. Are we among the Five Foolish Virgins or among the Five Wise virgins?
“ And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death./ Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.” (12:11-12)
From here to the throne of God and of the Lamb many events shall be set in motion having consequences. “And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved:” (Matt.24:23) Rapture shall take place before the great tribulation really set in real earnest and anti-Christ corrupt apostate churches. As Jesus predicted it shall indeed be shortened. We are already seeing these breaking out here and there.
