And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.
The vision of the beast has its beginning in the Vision of Daniel which as with visions set forth the Will of God and it is the Spirit which gives it clarity by appropriate symbolism, time element and place. The Spirit reveals the will of the Father only on a need to know basis. The Book of Daniel gives us, “And four great beasts came up from the sea, diverse one from another./The first was like a lion, and had eagle’s wings.”(Dan.7:3-7) The same reference to leopard and bear serves a clue that the beast derived from the same four beasts. The same sea and same beasts, symbols of which are retained and the Spirit is taking us to the time appointed.
The fourth beast as described by Daniel was much more terrifying than what went before. The fourth beast is Technology and the beast is tech savvy, and unlike all his predecessors shall magnify himself above all. From the following verse it shall be clear it is the age of personality cult above welfare of nations or man. If truth was a virtue taught to a toddler now it is fame even if it is for fifteen minutes, because it is instant gratification and money makes it happen. Given such a lie and social media platforms are there to amplify into million times at the click of a button we have fallen into a monster that has no heart or conscience. Daniel introduces it with one beast having three ribs stuck in its mouth, ‘and they said thus unto it, Arise, devour much flesh.”(Dan.7:5)
The world in such perilous times shall wonder at it. While there was time they rejected the good counsel and their foolish hearts being darkened let themselves in bondage to demagogues who owe no one explanation since their destruction come from elsewhere. If some millions are sold to reject truth and resist vaccine as infringement of their liberty and die on account of it, is Trump or Bolsonaro to blame? Yes the Fourth beast shall prove indeed deadly and pave the way as St Paul warns, “And that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;/ Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped.”(2 Thess.3:3-4)
“Because it is yet for a time appointed./ And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done./ Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all.”(Dan.11:35-37)
2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.
3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.
4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?
