Job 28:1-6 Who holds the centre?

Is there a centre for cosmos? Everything is relative one might say. As a Christian I can say definitely what holds the centre of the land of the living. It is the Word. “Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;(He.3:1)”. This is the Logos principle by which Wisdom is not by itself nor the Power is complete by itself. Glory of this principle would leave sapphire in the darkness so the Spirit calls it stones of darkness. Even so man shall reach out to set it as epitome of glory. In Ezekiel’s vision it is set above the throne of glory. “And above the firmament that was over their heads was the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of a sapphire stone: and upon the likeness of the throne was the likeness as the appearance of a man above upon it(Ez.1:26). Depths and heights do not make sense to the word eternally settled in the heavens. “And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heavenJohn 3:13).” John’s Gospel makes it clear that he is the Word (John 1:1).

How does the Word becomes person? Here is the word of God for example. The just shall live by faith(Ro.1:17).’ Truth of this eternal Word we prove by living it and it is proof that truth in our inward parts carries with it the truth ( ‘I am the truth’).

At water baptism one dies to sin and he lives by faith,’For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God(Col.3:3). Our present is not counted in earth time but in eternity so Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today and forever’ is the living word. It is what our soul confirms. Where is the question of men-pleasing when the soul tells the truth? ‘And by him all things consist(Col.1:17b)’.

Each of us is complete in him holding the centre.

Surely there is a vein for the silver, and a place for gold where they fine it.

Iron is taken out of the earth, and brass is molten out of the stone.

He setteth an end to darkness, and searcheth out all perfection: the stones of darkness, and the shadow of death.

The flood breaketh out from the inhabitant; even the waters forgotten of the foot: they are dried up, they are gone away from men.

As for the earth, out of it cometh bread: and under it is turned up as it were fire.

The stones of it are the place of sapphires: and it hath dust of gold.
