Exodus 23:10-22 “Three times”

And in all things that I have said unto you be circumspect: and make no mention of the name of other gods, neither let it be heard out of thy mouth.

The earth and the fulness thereof belong to God.”The land shall not be sold for ever: for the land is mine, for ye are strangers and sojourners with me(Le.25:23).”

God is the heavenly husbandman (John 15:1). Ordinances of Sabbath were intended for the land signifying their association as the Lord in heaven was their master who allowed you to enjoy the rest He provided in the Son. The circle from God sets a ripple. Where divine Will has settled the goodness of the earth it must flow out of the nation to the aliens as well. “for it is a year of rest unto the land./And the sabbath of the land shall be meat for you; for thee, and for thy servant, and for thy maid, and for thy hired servant, and for thy stranger that sojourneth with thee(25:5-6)”. God the Father wills and it is left to the Son to accomplish it. In that Father-Son relationship there is no split so much so when the Son says,’My Father works hitherto and so I work’ it merely means the divine providence is continuous. The word that goes out of his mouth shall never return void. (Is.55:11). Glory of God explains it in physical terms so evolution is set in course according to divine Law. Leaving the land to rest itself is borne out true in terms of science. Consider the verse below. God tells one crop equalling in abundance that supplies ‘the wants of three years’. “And if ye shall say, What shall we eat the seventh year? behold, we shall not sow, nor gather in our increase: then I will command my blessing upon you in the sixth year, and it shall bring forth fruit for three years.” That is, There shall be, not three crops in one year, but one crop equal in its abundance to three, because it must supply the wants of three years(Le.25:20-21)”.

Compare the words of the Son:”Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me(John 15:4)”. The Spirit uses number Three indicating what God the Father Son context would signify. Outwardly it is Sabbath as a holy day but holiness of it is drawn from the Son who sets right every lapse of the nation in commission or omission by his Atonement. He is the slain Lamb before the worlds began. So a diligent reader ought to keep the role of the Son in what is described. The three feasts mentioned below spiritual significance of which are in keeping with the Father-Son relationship of God.

14 Three times thou shalt keep a feast unto me in the year.

15 Thou shalt keep the feast of unleavened bread: (thou shalt eat unleavened bread seven days, as I commanded thee, in the time appointed of the month Abib; for in it thou camest out from Egypt: and none shall appear before me empty:)

16 And the feast of harvest, the firstfruits of thy labours, which thou hast sown in the field: and the feast of ingathering, which is in the end of the year, when thou hast gathered in thy labours out of the field.

17 Three times in the year all thy males shall appear before the Lord God.

And in all things that I have said unto you be circumspect: and make no mention of the name of other gods, neither let it be heard out of thy mouth.
