“Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom (Lk.12:32)”.
1. Heaven as spiritual corollary for the earth, its material aspect.
Consider this verse,”If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell ye of heavenly things(Jn.3:12)?” The parables of Jesus relied on the nature in order to explain the kingdom of heaven (Matt.13).
The Spirit while presenting the Salvation Plan of God lays it in a series of steps. Glory of God is his holiness. How shall anyone understand from an abstract idea like holiness? The Spirit therefore uses light as a symbol with which He separates children of light from children of darkness. So the role of Spirit testifying the Will of God and how it is fulfilled serves two narrative accounts from God the Father and God the Son. God as the Father of lights is one symbol which from creation calendar is placed in day One. Before the foundation of the world therefore signifies God’s Authority which is set in the Day Four. Here we see the lights to rule and as sign. The greater light and lesser light (as one) establishes God as merciful and as Judge where heaven is His throne. By the same token the slain lamb before the foundation of the world (Re.13:8) is a symbol for God the Son. It prefigures will of the Father and how the Son would fulfill it. In the fulness of time the Word shall manifest as the Son of man. So his advent in the world was to determine the children of light. Who are they? As many as received, to them gave he power to become the sons of God. These did not become sons by their will power but they were foreordained in the mind of God. Apostle John writes that they were not born after the manner of flesh and blood but by the will of God (Jn.1:12,11). So the point to understand that the symbol of the slain Lamb is not for a few but for the world. “For God so loved the world, that he sent his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life (Jn.3:16).”
The Son of man presented himself:kingdom of heaven was represented in the Word made flesh. And when he said,”Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you (Lk.12:20-21).”With the outpouring of the Spirit it was like an earnest. “(Spirit) Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory(Ep.1:14)”. So the indwelling Spirit in a believer is the Kingdom of heaven that shall be revealed. Glory of the risen Christ indicates it.”On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you(Jn.14:20-NIV)”. Glory of God rendered the earth catch it just a it catches rain and is collected in underground reservoirs; in spiritual terms it can be made use of-and spiritual discernment of the believers as a result develops. The fecundity of the earth is not of itself but owe to the glory of God which is a concrete example of the spiritual significance of heaven. The rain, sunshine etc.,from God the Father is an indication of his Perfection and Mercies.(Lam.3:23) It renews the face of the earth and upholds child of God “For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear(Mk.4:28)”.(To be continued)
