“And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep-(Ge.1:3).”
In the previous post we discussed the Word having its own personality. Whosoever uses the word rightly and is instructed from it acquires wisdom. ’A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver (Pr.25:11)’. We read how the congregation in the synagogue of Nazareth marveled ‘at the gracious words which proceeded out of his (Jesus) mouth (Lk.4:22)’. It is the Word and we read that it is forever settled in heaven (Ps.119:89). It is a sign testifying that the Will of God shall never fail, as God did not permit any of Samuel’s words fall to the ground (1 S.3: 19) Such is the righteousness of God it is a testimony eternally associated with the Word. The Word was with God and the Word was God.
We need to understand the Word is settled in heaven. It testifies righteousness and truth (Ps.119:142). What does glory of God mean for His creation? Is it not power and wisdom devolved from the creative act? Of this we have descriptive passages from the Book of Job and the Proverbs. “There are three things which are too wonderful for me, Four which I do not understand.Pr.30:18 We shall consider one example. The way of an eagle in the sky adds to our understanding similar to those that wait upon the Lord (Is.40:31) Ways of the eagles are drawn from Power and Wisdom of God and when they apply it to live their appointed days it instructs us divine Wisdom and it holds equally true for for all creatures great or small. Mystery of Providence every creature understands, and we human do in a human way. Is it not foolish therefore to deny their blessings any lower than we enjoy? The Book of Revelation gives us in a vision Four Living Creatures that stand before the Throne, creatures with the face of an eagle is a testimony.
The Word giving a form is devolved from the divine Will in that Power and Wisdom associated with the Lord God is transmuted as it were to accomplish the divine Will. Righteousness of God has become user-friendly where every seed or atom also has acquired truth. ‘But God gives it (seed) a body as he has determined, and to each kind of seed he gives its own body (1 Co.15:38-NIV)’. It goes without saying that Glory radiating from the divine Mind gives the earth a form.
“Truth springs up from the earth, and righteousness smiles down from heaven (Ps.85:11-NLT).”
Righteousness from the heavens is for the benefit of man and beasts alike so our concept of God has to be seen outside the Biblical scholarship that is particular in examining significance of words for example elohim in relation to the pantheon of Canaanite gods. It has its value but for our present purpose it is not relied on.
