The Bible Narrative from the Father’s standpoint (cont’d)

In the Acts of the apostles at one place we read that the local people mistook Paul and Barabbas as gods who have come down in their midst. They would have forcibly made sacrifices and homage as due to gods. They restrained them with great difficulty and preached to them about the only true living God ‘ who in times past suffered all nations to walk in their own ways.’ Ac.14:16 Would that mean God had let aside truth?

Core Will of God has a time scale which is outside the reckoning we are used to. Similarly Truth is inextricably bound up with it. Thus what we call as longsuffering on the part of God is not condoning sin as we would define the term. With the advent of his Son, Truth acquired a human scale, which we can relate to. As St. John would say, ‘the Word was made flesh’ and his glory as ‘of the only begotten of the Father.’ It is understood Truth that God the Father represented and Truth as represented by Son of man are one and the same.

Finally I shall also mention that some parts of the Core Will s not even revealed to the Son. The mother of Zebedee’s desired of Jesus that her children be placed in the kingdom closer to him. ‘But to sit on my right hand, and on my left hand, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father.’ (Mt.21:23)

The internal dynamics Bible account for progressive revelation as illustrative as the Holy Spirit moving upon the face of the waters. The separations of the light and darkness, separation of waters from the waters from below are in harmony with account of salvation as provided by the Levitical priesthood and with Christ’s priesthood.

Truth of such symbols that the Holy Spirit has found fit to set narrative accounts from the standpoint of the Father must be seen as distinct since Holy Spirit the third in the triune God does not speak for itself but bear witness. On the day of Pentecost the event of outpouring of Holy Spirit is to be a prophetic fulfillment of Jesus Christ. (Jn.14:26,15:26) Like urim and thumim the two objects on the breastplate of the High Priest light and perfection from these two accounts is set down by the Holy Spirit for our edification. The account from the standpoint of the Holy Spirit cannot be anything less than truth.

It is validated by the Son of man who says, Even the Spirit of truth whom the world cannot receive (Jn.14:17)

‘Without a parable spake he not unto them.(Mt.13:34) Jesus explains reason why. ‘Because they (world) seeing see not; and hearing they hear not ; neither do they understand. Mt.13:13:15

But for those who receive the word all the riches of the Word are made clear to them. Not all at once but gradually. Like the earth words sown into heart must produce changes,’ first the blade, then the ear, after that full corn in the ear.(Mk4:29). Such transformation is worked out due to indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit. How can any child of God go wrong with such a counsel that can give? ‘Ask and it shall be given.’ Is a promise for each of us. The Work of Holy Spirit does precisely what our Lord Savior has promised. He teaches us all things and brings all things to our remembrance.
