Jn.3:16 ‘God so loved the world...’
Each of us by the blood of Jesus Christ is made righteous. We have not been made perfect but blameless. In other words by faith we are set once again in direct context of divine Will.
In the following posts we shall see God the Father has willed several qualities by making man a living soul. God is Love (1 Jn4:8).Apostle John makes abundantly clear in what manner love of God is expressed.’No one has ever seen God (vs12)’not that we loved God but that he loved us.4:10′ . Love is first demonstrated by God and his Will therefore must bear that essential quality. God as the creator of heavens and the earth expressed his essence and we have the evidence in the way beasts and men are able to find nourishment from the earth. ‘The earth is full of his unfailing love(Psa.33:5) Chains of events from the heavens connect with those of the earth so man may wonder at the lovingkindness of the Creator.(Ps.19:1) In our partaking of God’s love we are made one with his gifts: beauty of Nature makes us wonderstruck and do away with time and space temporarily at least. In short we have transcended beyond our physical frame to taste his Goodness. A glorious sunset or a bird in its flight like pelicans rising by making use of the thermals,a mighty cataract with sound and fury sometimes force itself into our imagination. We may have passed through these everyday unaware of its majesty. At times we are one with nature to wonder its significance at that time and place. God has a way of speaking to us in its midst. We are lifted from our everyday circumstances to confront God in a field strewn with lilies growing without any one’s special care.
Nature is kind of a mirror by which we may discern his Will. Cannot God speak to us from any simple object of his creation?Do we pause in order to understand the mystery why even such trivial objects remind us of God? A fragile shell cast on the seashore and trampled underfoot by countless feet can and still retain its purity when washed by tide.
It may be that at times we are like Elijah at Horeb and we seek miracles, sound and fury in order to fix our minds on his works. Whereas for God he can easily make himself at one with gentle whisper of wind (1 Ki.19:8-11). God’s mercy provides for great and small. His Will works with every little and great event. No child or man of might is to be despised since his Will encompasses them all. Jesus testified on his father regarding his Will (Mt.18:14).
