Gen2:10-11 ‘...and from there (Eden) it divided; it had four headstreams… and the fourth river is Euphrates.’
Since Holy Spirit thought it proper to describe the manner a river could flow from Eden and the necessity of man to water the garden (that is pendent to the availability of water) let us see if if can understand the will of God in the manner the river branched into 4 head streams. In Rev.22: we read that the water was the river of life and it proceeded from the throne of God and of the Lamb. It is pertinent to note that the river does not branch into streams as in the case of garden of Eden.
In the unfolding of divine Will the branches are illustratve of God’s working. It makes various events from the First Cause form themselves into a chain and create their own impact. However the fall of Man found its place in the Garden as though it were the first act, culminate in the last act when curse of Man’s disobedience is forever removed. This is symbolised in the river that runs once again as straight as an arrow in the Book of Revelation. God’s Will once determined unfolds where every diversion is rearranged so it is supreme and past man’s reckoning or will. ‘I am the Alpha and the Omega,… the Beginning and the End.(Rev.22:13)’
Within this Beginning and the Last, God, the Spirit through the agency of Holy Spirit writes about the names of those whose are found in the Book of Life. In Rev.13:8 we see that there are those redeemed from the nations who are in the book’. The divine Will has not set aside nations because Children of Israel hold the promise God gave to Abraham (Gen.12:2-3) Israel similarly is not rejected because of the Church. Their judgment wherever it has fallen was representational Judgment. In other words it is partial and relative to the final Judgment. The will of God from the standpoint of God, the Son will have the Jews, Greeks regardless of their circumstances or gender be one Christ Jesus(Gal 3:28-29)
To sum: will of God is of single cord where the strands of God the Son and of God the Spirit are fully fit. How it is translated into march of events and fulfilment of divine judgment shall be chains of events. These events arethe effect of a divine cause where nations, individuals are but players.
